Will InterBase work with Active Server Pages (ASP)? What are they?

Abstract: Will InterBase work with Active Server Pages (ASP)? What are they?

Problem: Will InterBase work with Active Server Pages (ASP)? What are they? Solution: The information in this article applies to: All ODBC drivers prior to the InterBase InterSolv version 3.0 driver ASPs are a part of Microsoft's Internet Information Server which allow web pages to be dynamically updated by using special commands which are embedded in the HTML. Active Server Pages can connect to an ODBC datasource, and return query results in HTML formatted lists or tables. Since ASP requires a thread-safe driver and ours is not, the answer is currently 'NO', or at least 'Not recommended'. Our new InterSolv driver (which will ship with 5.5 sometime in early Oct. 1998) is thread-safe. The answer at that point will be 'YES'.
