CVS related directories are not filtered out of the package view in JBuilder 2005

Abstract: CVS related directories are not filtered out of the package view in JBuilder 2005

Question:

When using CVS only external to JBuilder (not integrated), CVS related directories (e.g. <proj>/src/CVS/Base, etc.) are shown in the package view in JBuilder 2005. Why are these directories not automatically filtered from the Project view? Is there a workaround?

Answer:

In JBuilder 2005, CVS related directories and files are only filtered out of the package view when the project is actually associated with CVS in JBuilder. When using an external CVS client, JBuilder does not automatically filter out those files.

One easy workaround is to just choose "Team | Select Project VCS | CVS", and the CVS related files and folders will disappear from the project view. It does not mean that you have to use the Team functionality in JBuilder, though it will be enabled.
