InterBase 2007 SP2 with Macintosh server/client

Abstract: InterBase 2007 for Macintosh for now available to customers with Maintenace agreements

A new CD Image of InterBase 2007 SP2 is now available to customers with maintence agreements. All customers with maintence agreements should be emailed shortly on how download this new version from the CodeGear maintenance portal. This version includes the following:

  1. A new version of the server and client for Macintosh. The installer is universal. PowerPC and Intel based Macintoshes are supported. The Macintosh version is available to new customers and customers with maintenance only.
  2. A new registration (sanctuary) library for Windows, Linux and Solaris. This library will be available on the CodeGear registered users site in the near future as well. The new library fixes one defect. The defect was where under some installations only 1/2 of add-on licenses were recognized.
  3. A new ODBC driver for Windows, Linux and Solaris.  The new ODBC driver will be available on the CodeGear registered users site in the near future as well. The new ODBC driver fixes one defect. The defect fixed was in getting a list of tables and the table description from the RDB$RELATIONS table was longer than 255 characters.
  4. A new ADO.NET 2.0 driver. This driver is available to new customers and customers with maintenance only.
  5. Existing InterBase 2007 server and clients for Windows, Linux and Solaris. These installs are unmodified and may be downloaded from the CodeGear registered users site.
Note the all existing InterBase 2007 serial numbers work with this new version.
