Using 32 bit ODBC drivers on a 64 bit OS

Abstract: ODBC Administrator from Control Panel only lists 64 bit ODBC drivers. You need to run Odbcad32.exe from the SysWoW64 directory instead.

Q. I'm on a 64 bit OS. I've installed the Data Direct ODBC driver and it is not showing up in ODBC Administrator. What is wrong?

A. ODBC Administrator from Control Panel only displays 64 bit ODBC drivers. The Data Direct ODBC driver included with InterBase 2009 and earlier is a 32 bit ODBC driver. To see 32 bit ODBC drivers execute Odbcad32.exe from your Windows\SysWoW64 folder. For more information see support.microsoft.com/kb/942976
