SQL Reference/API functions in Help menu fails

Q. If I select SQL Reference or API Functions in the Help menu of IBConsole my web browser (FireFox) is launched, but nothing happens in the browser. What is going on?

A. This problem is specific to the FireFox browser. FireFox requires the parameters part of ShellExecute to include -url. However, if it is there, then if Internet Explorer is your web browser it fails.
