Access violation in dclite60.bpl on a new XP SP2 machine.
Abstract: When starting BCB6 up on a newly installed XP SP2 machine I get an access violation in dclite60.bpl
The reason for access violation is an issue in dclite60.bpl when it queries the OS for various locales and information pertaining to those locales. Starting with XP SP2 DEP (Data Execution Protection) is switched ON by default. You would need to switch DEP OFF for BCB.EXE this is done as follows:
In Windows Start|Settings|Control Panel|System|Advanced|Performance (Settings)|Data Execution Protection then exclude BCB.exe from DEP.
